Restored Heritage, Modern Performance
Kidderminster Town Hall has been transformed through a major £12 million refurbishment, reopening as a fully modernised cultural venue while retaining the character and heritage of one of the town’s most recognisable historic buildings. First opened in 1855, the Hall has long played a role in the region’s musical history, having hosted artists including The Rolling Stones, U2 and T. Rex, and now enters a new chapter as a contemporary multi-purpose performance space.
The redevelopment has introduced significant technical upgrades, positioning the Town Hall as a venue capable of hosting high-quality touring productions, concerts, theatre and corporate events. The main performance space now supports audiences of up to 650 standing or over 400 seated, with a large adaptable stage, improved load-in access and dedicated backstage facilities including dressing rooms, showers and production areas.
Upgraded for Today’s Performances and Events
New professional sound and lighting systems have been installed throughout the venue, including a digital Midas mixing console, line array PA system with subwoofers, wireless microphone capability and a programmable intelligent lighting rig. Together, these upgrades allow the Town Hall to support modern touring technical requirements while maintaining the intimacy and atmosphere of a historic performance space.
Alongside the technical improvements, the building has been reimagined for contemporary use, with enhanced public areas, improved accessibility, flexible event spaces and the addition of The Courtyard café-bar, helping to create a lively social destination throughout the day as well as during performances.

Volunteering Opportunities
We have a team of volunteer stewards who support our Front of House staff at live events as well as civic events. We also have volunteers who host our weekly Happy to Chat table in the Courtyard Café.
